The Portfolio classes are designed to not only build your portfolio but confidence executing top tier professionalism on set. Time management, building teams, mood boards, research, kit addendums, casting, networking, set etiquette, and creative directing are all important skillsets for top artists. There will be 4 photoshoots for each class that are planned and executed by you, under my guidance with prep work. Each shoot is a max of 2.5 hours. All 4 shoots per class are the same genre.

I review your current portfolio if you have one, give you homework, prep work and research for photo shoots. I will challenge you, help build your confidence, and strengthen your skills. After the class, I will send you your top 6 photos edited.

As a makeup artist, having a professional portfolio is essential for showcasing your skills and getting the jobs you want. It is a representation of your work and can elevate your status in the industry. Create a portfolio that will impress potential clients and employers. Show diversity and include a range of looks in your portfolio to show your versatility. Include images of different skin tones, ages, and styles. Keep your portfolio up to date with your latest work. Remove any outdated images and replace them with new ones. It will always be a work in progress and updating is crucial to staying relevant in the industry. Don't let a lack of portfolio hold you back from the opportunities you deserve.

What to bring: Your model and makeup kit. (A model can be provided for you for an additional fee paid directly to model). The model should arrive hair and outfit ready. This is a beauty shoot so just be mindful of what they are wearing for clothing and jewelry from the chest up. It is always recommended that the model bring a basic bandeau top. You can wrap them in a fabric or bring something that goes with the makeup look. Bring basic hairstyling tools/products so you can touch up the hair.

Experience level:

The Portfolio classes can be taken at all stages of your career from beginning to Pro. Your portfolio is a work in progress and should be worked on at every stage of your career.
