Preparing for workshop:

Start by selecting a look. Create a face chart of the look. You will chart the look with what you have in your makeup kit. This is a crucial part of planning and understanding what works best in your kit. Bring any inspo photos plus your face chart with you.

Choose your model. Every makeup artist should have models they can call on. Developing relationships with models is important and essential for when you are doing passion projects, editorials, and classes. A class model does not have to be a professional model depending on what you are looking to get from the class. If you want to work on anti-aging makeup, then bring someone you know who is older. Cast your model for the look and occasion you are doing makeup for. For the best beauty models, look for good skin and no peach fuzz.

What to bring: Inspo photos, Face chart, Model, Makeup kit, camera/phone optional for documenting content for social media.

Workshop announcements are sent via email to our mailing list. Make sure you are on the list for announcements, waiting lists, and time sensitive last minute openings.

Workshops are different than classes. Workshops focus on fine tuning your work and creating content to promote yourself. Do you need help with a look? Do you need more confidence in your work? Plan out your look and execute it with guidance from me to elevate your skill set.

The Pro Classes vs. a workshop: The Pro Classes are for anyone wanting to be a Pro Makeup Artist. Classes are intense with theory, practice, and testing. You should have this knowledge before taking a workshop. Most people start by taking the Pro Makeup Class.

The takeaway: Inspiration, time management, professionalism, elevated skill set, confidence, and content creating for marketing.
